They make and adapter for 5/16 to 1/4 so you don't have to drill your factory air cleaner. My son makes them in the shop also. Last edited: Dec 20, 2021

I THOUGHT somethin' was pickin at my old brain. Some of the older Ford / Autolite carbs (factory) were a 5/16 with a built in hex in the middle, then stepped down to 1/4 at the filter end 57-69 Autolite 2100/4100 Carburetor Stud for Air Cleaner [CAG-370971S] - $19.99 : Champion Carburetor, Your Carburetor & Parts Specialist
