How good is Airtex mechanical fuel pump? Is it comparable to Carter?

I used to sell Airtex when I was in parts years back. They used to be top quality. toolmanmike

I'm still in the parts game and can tell you they still make good quality pumps.

They are alright, I sell them all day at Advance, but don't expect to see 7 PSI on a decent performance build. I threw one on my 340 as a temporary to get it somewhat tuned, and the most I have seen is 3.5 PSI with a 3/8" feed line.
