Aluminum Intakes dont seal on X heads

If your aluminum intake has a gap at the bottom of the intake surface and a stock iron intake doesn't then I would say that your aluminum intake has an angle problem. If you heads were angle milled then you would have the same problem with any intake that you used.

Exactly. Way back when, I bought a brand new Edelbrock LD340 dual plane for the 318 in my first car. Nothing had been machined (block, heads, etc) and I had the same problem - a gap all along the bottom of the intake on both sides. The intake was simply cut wrong and I had it machined to correct the problem.
