I have a automatic 72 duster with a slant and 65K original miles. I was wondering if putting in an OD unit in it is ruining the car? Its interior isnt stock anymore but besides minor things its in original shape.

I would say that a \6 is not the most desirable in the first place. So I would not worry about devaluing by adding a OD

If you can add OD unobtrusively, I would say that is a positive addition. Especially if you actually drive the car.
In my opinion, OD is the single best thing you can do to increase MPG.

Heck no. I would say if done nicely it adds value to a cruiser or DD. Would to me.

Not only does OD add a slight mpg increase, but also increases engine life by lowering rpms per mile.

Who cares. It's your car. Make it your own. I would never worry unless I had a fairly rare, matching number trailer queen. Otherwise, make it what you want. The more enjoyable it is to drive, the more you will drive it.

A slant 6 with a 833 od, 4.10 rear gear and tall tires. Get's 27 mpg hwy.
