amp questions

not an a body but... i want to put an amp in my excursion, is there inputs for just the red & black speaker wire not the RCA inputs. I wanted to know because if there is I would splice into the speaker wire run it to the amp, then run the power cable from the battery to the amp, and hook up my sub.

depends on what amp you get, some of them do have that type of connection, or you can always buy a converter to go from speaker level inputs to rca. Be careful though as this could introduce more nosie into your system.
