But you have to be CAREFUL. ONce upon a time, "Sierra Marine" made and sold quality aftermarket parts. The last coils I got IN A SEALED Sierra Marine bag looked like China. Worse, the obviously China no-name (piss green) ones DO NOT put out anywhere near the spark power that the old ones did. Now, they might work OK on a 5 1/2, but "I bet" they don't hold muster on a 40I’m
honestly parts are allways available on eBay. I bought factory parts manuals and with those numbers you can find it almost anywhere. I’m amazed the parts still available for that thing. I took the remote shifter apart and found a few broken parts. A few numbers later thanks to the forum iboats.com. And plenty of info on there.
Look me up- Luckday.
I looked around ebay and found some old stock Sierra Marine coils that appeared to be German made, AND A SELLER OUTRIGHT LIED. Posted photos of the "good" ones and sent me the china crap.
The point is, most of the junk on egag using Sierra part no's are china poor copies. The carb gaskets are about 1/8 the thickness of original, and the needles and seats just plain and simple are the wrong thread!!!
