Hi, I've checked the Hamtramck Registry pdfs and other recommended sites, but the code numbers on my build sheet do not match to what I've been able to pull up on line. Can one of you please help me out?

Why does it say axle: 56 in the top box, and a couple rows below it says axle: 2? As I understand, I should either have a 2.93 or 3.23:1.
Why does it say trans: 5 in the top pic and trans 28 in the lower? Is trans 28 a special one for a wagon?
What is spring 12?
What is pinion 56?
What is the diff. between engine: 02 and engine 817? Is engine 817 just a regular 225?

Is rad 63 a special one for wagons?

THis is from a 64 dart wagon. Based on other options circled, I believe this sheet goes with my car.
THanks, and get your soil's pH checked every year!

Don't remember where, but I think I remember reading that AT's got 2.93:1 and Manuals got 3.23:1 (that's what sticks in my head from when I was digging into my '64 3 speed wagon, which seemed to have more rear gear than my '64 AT coupe)

This is based upon what I know from working with my 65 GT:

Your "56" is the last 2 digits of your axle's part number while the "2" should indicate the axle size - 2.93, 3.23, etc.

Ditto for the "5" - should be an automatic transmission and the "28" is the part number of the transmission. Same for spring "12" and pinion "56" - last two digits of the part number for those items. Hope this helps a little.

I see. So do I assume axle size 2 = the 2.93?

I guess I need to look up the part numbers next. Thanks.

BTW, there's a fairly rough 65 GT for sale close by in KY. THe usual rust spots, bad interior. It almost looks like a parts car, but he says it should run......$2800
