While disassembling the carb for refurb/rebuild, I decided that I should remove the jets. In hindsight, probably a mistake. One primary jet came out without too much problem, the other I got out, but destroyed it in the process. These are the tall jets for the 3-step rod. Those jets appear to be N/A. Can the readily available short jets be run with the 3-step rods? I can replace those with the short jets and the 2-step rod and flat cover, although keeping the carb as original as possible would be ideal? Anyone have some useable tall jets around? It's a 4611s and uses an 89 jet.

Thanks to all for the help.

John

I'm pretty sure this is what you want. NOS from old partial Strip Kits I've picked up when I've found them.

I'd let up to two go for $25 each, plus shipping.
If you'd like to get one (or two), send me a direct message and we'll work out the particulars.

A piece of advice to those working on an old Carter. Don't remove the jets, you will likely destroy them.

That well underneath can be cleaned out very easily.
