I have done a search and read several posts on head gaskets and I think I am more confused now! I am putting together a 360 with stock dish pistons,596 heads with bowl blend and gasket match,Performer int. and carb, and this cam http://www.summitracing.com/parts/crn-693901.The cam according to Crane works with 8to 1 up to 9to 1.What are going to be the best head gaskets to use? Does anyone make a gasket with the bore closer to the actual bore size? These are the ones I have looked at so far and I do need these to last and wouldn't mind a small bump in comp or is it worth it?

you will not find off the shelf gasket with the exact bore as your engine....you can order any head gasket size from cometic ......

bring your visa card.....

MR 1121G will work just fine

I was told you don't want the gasket the same bore size as the cylinder bore. That came from Don at FBO. I have a 4.070 340 and I used a 4.100 Cometic gasket.
Besides your not going to feel any difference in performance between gasket bore sizes.

Thanks guys I ordered the MRG 1121G from Summit last night.
