Hello All,
I have never had an engine with aluminum heads and I was reading that you should use anti-seize compound on the spark plugs so I was wondering...

Should I use antiseize compound on all the bolts going into the Edelbrock heads? like the intake manifold and header bolts?

Thanks in advance for your help,
Paul

it is a definate yes on the plugs and even then try not to pull them when the engine is hot. you run more of a chance of galling the threads when the metal is expanded.

Antiseize on the plugs, exhaust header/manifold bolts, and accessory bolts. Liquid teflon sealant on the intake bolts. ARP lube on the head bolts & both sides of the head bolt washers.

Yes on the anti seize, it would be a good idea to keep a small container in your tool box in the trunk too.

Just make sure that you don't get it in the spark plug tang, as if it's aluminum or copper based it will cause an intermittant short from time to time. We experienced this on the Dakota stock elim truck, and it drove us crazy trying to find the problem.
