Daniel Craig's cool. How ,the hell do you beat Sean Connery?

Exactly....I dug Roger Moore.... But Sean will always be the best.

Roger moore was good. Cant beat sean connery. I think my second favorite was pierce brosnan.

Love Connery, the best. But like Pierce and Daniel. Daniel because he show a bond that not (like everybody else the play bond) playboy first banging every chick and when board complete the mission, he plays the dark role of duty first and if time allows bang a chick. Watching Skyfall (new bond movie) on opening night!

My wife's friend's were over last week and they were saying Craig was the least best looking to play Bond...Not sounding gay I had to agree...I brought up George Lasby as they forgot about his ONE bond film and still Craig was last....Yet, his movies have grossed the most..Go:dontknow: Figure

Come on..James Bonds got a licience to kill anyone, can't get better than that. Plus alway has the best girls.

Always been a 007 fan. I remember seeing "Dr. No" and "From Russia With Love" in the movies back in 1962 and 63 when they were originally released.

....and you don't beat Sean Connery in that role. ;)

I always liked the Connery films best until Craig rebooted the storyline.

I like the Craig films best. They are a little grittier and actually get into the impact such a life has on the main character. Much like the latest Batman films.

I agree 100%

Each generation of Bond has its merits.
Connery was/is/always will be Bond, James Bond.
Lazenby was a model not an actor, even though OHMSS is my favorite Bond movie. (Diana Rigg in her prime)
Roger Moore played it for sh#ts & giggles. (Ala The Saint)
Timothy Dalton played it straight, leaving the one-liners to the bad guys.(A little too rigid for my taste)
Pierce Brosnan was more like Connery than the others, suave & silky smooth. (It would have been great if he'd been able to sign on 2 movies & 8yrs earlier)
Daniel Craig has brought Bond into the 21st century with a nice blend of grit & Semi-Gloss.

My wife and I were watching "North by Northwest" a few weeks ago on Encore. I mentioned that had the Bond movies been dated a little earlier, Cary Grant would have made an excellent James Bond. She agreed.

Like Connery, Moore, and Brosnan, Cary Grant has that same suave appearance and character, the same tongue in cheek Brit sarcasm, and he carried himself in the same manner.

Just a thought.

I've been a huge Bond fan since, as a very young teen, I first saw Dr. No and From Russia With Love as a double-feature at the movies. Read a lot of Ian Fleming's books to go along with the movies and found, as always, much more detail in the books that really added to the stories.

I wasn't a big Roger Moore fan and I've never seen the George Lazenby film. Neither could compare to Sean Connery who, I thought, improved with every film. Timothy Dalton was OK, but Pierce Brosnan was a big upgrade. I very much enjoy the new style that Daniel Craig has brought to the role and am looking forward to "Skyfall".

To borrow Frankie's list of films, what discussion of James Bond would be complete without further discussion of "Bond Girls"? So, who was the best "Bond Girl"? I'm sure we all have our favorite from the different Bond eras. Who's yours? Gotta say that Halle Berry walking out of the surf in that bikini was quite a sight.

I'm a bond guy too. But being raised in the 90s, Pierce Brosnan is my bond. I think goldeneye is my favorite particular film because of the N64 game Ive been playing since it came out in the mid 90s. Lol

Big Bond fan here! Totally agree with ifitsgotwheels and ocdart. I have them all on either VHS or DVD and watch them occassionally. I used to watch several Bond movies on a Saturday while I was folding clothes while my three boys were little. They may wander in the living room, and then back out when the car chases were done! They are in Jr. High and Sr. High now! Wasn't a Timothy Dalton fan, but have enjoyed Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig! But, who can forget the Bond Women - such as Honey Rider, Pussy Galore, Octopussy, and Solitaire! Talk about getting in the young adult males into the theaters - wow!

Don't forget this Ian Fleming classic he wrote for his kids.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

I very much like the earlier ones.

First on my list is Roger Moore, Second Sean Connery, the rest are weak in comparison.

The newer ones, the main character and the entire movie(s) did not maintain, capture or give off the style, charisma, far out technology, breath taking scenic environments, mysterious excitement and sly comical anecdotes of the earlier films.

As you can guess I've been a Bond fan since seeing Dr. NO & Goldfinger as a double feature around 1966 or 67.There've been some great Bond girls over the years. My favorite heroine is Diana Rigg from On Her Majesty's Secret Service.

For those who don't know her, she was the original Emma Peel from The Avengers.

As an impressionable 11 year old, I think she might have been responsible for my attraction to women in black leather:finga:

Favorite villainess, Xenia Onatopp from Goldeneye
