Newer forum member here would like to see your 65 darts. I have a 65 GT with a slant 6
all original. Will be converting to a 5.9 Magnum 727, 8 3/4 next year sometime.

My 65 Dart wagon now under construction. Originally a slant/904/7.25. Swapping to a 273/235/833/8.75 with 4 wheel discs. FWIW Dart wagons were actually a Valiant Body with the Dart front clip

agree with easy rider. a 727 will only work with real modification to the floor pan [hammer or cut and increase the size]. A well built 904 will be great for a 360! A 904 [999] is behind this small block....433". Original /6 car as well.

Originally a factory a/c car?

I believe it is as four things give it away: the AC line fittings barely seen behind the air cleaner, the water valve on the passenger inner fender and the thermostat housing with the offset upper radiator hose that clears the missing compressor and the AC controller in the interior pic. Nice car nevertheless!

Mine had a 340 and a 727 in it when I got it. It had to take some convincing to fit.....the seam between the floor and firewall needs to be mashed flat or trimmed.
Now , it is a 405 inch R-3 / W-9 with a 904.
Tried super stock leafs and it wouldn't hook at all.
Now going for Cal Tracs , and I hope that is going to work.

yes trim off the pinchweld & reweld the seam (it needs the strength) then mockup. You may or may not need addit'l floorpan work. I would highly suggest a 904 instead. You do NOT need a 727. #1 will be exhaust selection (manis/headers) for adequate flow.

View attachment 1715266256I was able to find a 904 and got some parts to rebuild it as well so going with that. Your Dart looks great...
