Car is a 65 Dart GT . Originally a 4 speed but now automatic.

Four speeds in early A bodies were relatively plentiful in the sense that you don't expect a slant six or 273 2 barrel to have a four speed and there are more than you think. (Not sure what kind of sentence that is.) But still unusual and (to me) desirable. Sure would be nice if whoever swapped in the automatic kept the four speed stuff, because I would sure put it back. And probably keep the 273, even though I didn't in my own 65 Barracuda. But that was then (1973). Now is now.

Post the fender tag if it's still there, someone can decode it for you & tell you the specifics from it.

Are those motors worth anything (since most want 340/360/383, etc)
I'd keep it- there's not a huge market for them, but they're really nice little motors, and respond well to all the same basic mods as other LAs. Once you decide to swap, then you open up another can of worms. You don't necessarily want to get caught up in the whole "bigger is better" type scenario.
As far as value, like TMM said: about a hundred, maybe more. Which is kind of ironic, since that's the value for just the adjustable rocker setup from it.

That air cleaner is fine. It looks like it's crumpled around the base plate enough to allow proper breathing. The best thing about that motor is that it can be easily replaced.

my intent is to pull a few parts for my 68 Dart GT Convertible and get rid of the car or parts.

My 68 Dart already has a 360 so wasn't going to go through any motor swaps

LA is an LA...360's were weird internal balanced and larger crank journals and stroke but thats about it. That 273 has a good forged manual register crank in it, floating rods, adjustable valve train...the crank has a small hub on it so I hope they used a 67 or older trans on it with the correct convertor. Forged LA cranks are desirable and so are the light rods.

I'm not too sure what the time limit is on how long we wait for you to edit your ".360's were weird internal balanced" statement...oops; out of time!

Yep, too bad that info isn't right.
