What is a 'friction tester'? I am looking for a vehicle for my son and stumbled across this on an auction site. I can imagine they used it to test traction on the runways, but would like to know for sure out of curiosity. I am not really a Saab fan, but a 1990 Saab 900 turbo with only 17,000 miles might make an interesting car... especially at the price it is currently at.

MY old 1st Sergeant had one and he had like 250,000 miles on it. But I do not know if that is a common thing. Usually turbos burn up more quickly then their engines
