Any tips for getting the oil dipstick out?

Hey All:

Putting the Magnum engine in my car and would like to reuse the oil dipstick from my 318, as the Magnum one is way too tall.

However, that sucker is mad stuck in the old 318. Any tips for getting it out without breaking it?

You need to drive it out from the bottom. It seem like every time I try to twist it out from the top I break it. Maybe someone else has a better method .
