Any West Coast folks attending the Redwood Rally?

One of the YouTube channels I check out is Gnarly Speed Shop. They are in California. They have a few videos of their Pontiac Tempest making passes at the Redwood Rally maybe two years ago. They also built a 68 Charger with a stroked 440 and I think a five speed manual transmission. If you have time to check out their videos from the Rally you see some of the locations. Maybe it will help you decide.

I've been to the Kool April Nights shindig when a friend used to live in Redding.
The Friday night before the show, they block off several streets and let the participants of the show engage in a big cruise in Redding. It is a sight to see, all sorts of cars and trucks that may or may not even be street legal, running along the roads like it was 1981 again.
The show itself is great too. It is ALL makes and models but you do see some rare and unusual stuff there.
One year I saw a "White" commercial truck. I've never seen another before or since. I'm not certain but I think it had a wooden dash board and hand controlled advance for the distributor. It was there that a man told me what M G stood for. (Morris Garage).

Redding is to cars as Havasu is to flat bottom drag boats. If only it wasn't so darn hot in the summer

No kidding.
Hot in the summer yet they still sometimes get snow. There is some beautiful land and trees there though.
