383 Procharger high RPM build suggestions welcome , good or bad
People always tell me to throw my 383 in the trash and uild a 440 or 400 but i like the short stroke and higher sustained RPM potential of a 383 for my application
I presently take me 69 Dart to track events (Road America) a couple times a year to open it up.
Suspension mods , Big Brakes , ect..... Fun
Situation
Presently I have been running a 440 with a Procharger . The engine has a wet sump and other goodies but the 440 is a physical beast and I spend a lot of time in the 6000 RPM range.
My 440 has a Bad Main after this season and needs to come out
My Plan
I have a 383 and I think it would be perfect for a quick reving , sustained high RPM racing engine in combo with my Procharger
3000lb car
323 rear gear
tremac 5 speed
For 20 minutes at a session im in the 3000lb to 6000 RPM range going Hard
Any Build advice pos or neg is welcome
Thank You
