**Anybody use the 727 Specialist**

-
Sorry I missed your question,My builder works for a retail trans shop and does the cool stuff on the side.He happens to run a similar blown hemi like me.He's in the middle of putting an aluminum n/a 472 hemi in a Demon. Here's a pic's of my junk:coffee2:

Cant believe you posted a pic of that junk.lol

I have used to 727 specialist and i found that he knows his way around a 727. my transmission has a trnas brake and is rated to over 800 ft lb. of tourque. i paid somewhere around 3400 give or take a hundred after freight.

Somehow I missed this thread Louis. I use Protrans. Dave is very nice but the phone isn't his strong point. His son races Super Stock in a 69 Dart. He has done my transmissions for years and I highly recommend him. If you need a connection to him let me know. I have had a convo with him about my 727 for my turbo Dart (I ran a powerglide before) and he said it will be in the 2K range. Protrans manufactures a lot of really trick custom parts that he sells to other trans builders and is considered an expert by other superstock guys. Just ask around at the next national event.

Dang man you are resurrecting the dead.... LOL
You must have a really good in with him. Last time I talked to him he was really hush hush on prices but let out a 6K Range........ Ugh
This is one of the reasons I ended up buying from Tranzact of Indy. Price was $2200.00 with a billet front drum. Koleen clutch packs bands etc. Think it has a 4.3 Lever?? I don't remember... Bolt in Sprag and a Pro Brake with reverse pattern. It is on one of my engine stands on standby ready to go.

That shaft was used beyond its limits and the trans was just part of the collateral damage.

A driveshaft can cut thru vehicles and kill you just like it almost did to a girl in her car in texas and left her with a broken helmet, head, shoulder, ribs, arm, hip, leg, ankle along with many cuts.
