anyone build there own center console?

building a street strip 72 duster and plan on using a hurst quarter stick shifter. Im thinking of building my own console around the shifter.

just curious if any of you guys have a custom center console and some pics of it.

I did...Here is the first iteration of it.

Fist one was obviously made of wood shaped with a sander a little and covered with tweed.
And now it looks like this

Second one is fiberglass built like a new speaker box, skim coated with bondo then painted with epoxy paint. You'll notice that the back half is the same as the original console.
The shifter and plate are from a Jeep cherokee to match the 46RE trans that's in the car now.
It also has 2 USB charge ports built in ;)

This is in a 67 galaxie but I live the layout of the whole interior!! No idea how they did it as I found the pic online
