Real Gaskets? As if to say Victor or Fel pro are fake gaskets? or what?

I just ordered 2 ea, slant 6 pan and valve cover gaskets. "real"gaskets.....one of each, for mine and my son's trucks. I figure the "reusable" sounds promising, especially with an engine with adjustable solid lifters. they did have a more expensive "fiberglass fiber" reinforced one for the valve cover, didn't go that route. so far have heard good comments about them from pretty much everybody, except for Slant 6 Dan on the /6 site.
I havent seen him around much on the forums but in a search over there over the years it had been brought up a handful of times.... and Dan seemed the only detractor on their product, seemed anyone who'd used them liked them.

That said I miss the old orange rubber (not sure what kind of rubber they were) valve cover gaskets that used to be available for Mopar V8s, these look like those did....
I also used to like the rubber Fel pro's but the most recent versions of those they had seemed too "stiff" to me and rarely sealed like the old rubber gaskets used to.... cork has always done OK but were short lived, especially for valve covers.

On more current engines I like the style of vc gaskets as used on the magnum engines. but so far I have not seen them for /6 or LA small blocks.
Anyone here ever use their products?

I bought a thermostat gasket from them, not a drop of leakage.

Be sure to follow their instructions. Especially the torque spec. Inch pounds don't feel right! But it works.

and Dan seemed the only detractor on their product

I would bet that he did not follow the instructions.

I used one of their gaskets on my 170. Worked great. Getting one for my 225 to use. Cheaper long term than cork

I've got one on my 904.

Works great and can take a bit more torque than stated.
