Anybody here in socal or people who come from out of state attending route 66 this year?

Never hered of it. When and where is it at?

Its in San Bernardino, CA. 2nd and D street is where it starts. Its a big event here that usually lasts a couple of days. This year it Starts on September 15th and ends on the 18th. Its a car show with events like an open header contest, burnout contest..etc..

I worked at a firm on Court and "D" Street for 7 years and the Route 66 Rendezvous was always a favorite event. My lawyer boss and I spent more time cruising the sidewalks and parking lots by the office for those two "work" days than we did at our desks!

Burnt, if you get the chance to attend even for just one day, GO!!! It runs from Thursday all the way through late Sunday afternoon with regular events, contents, tons of parts / food / accessories vendors ... I even got to introduce my daughter to Ed Roth the September before he passed away. You never know who or what will be around the next corner. And if anyone happens to see this guy .......

That just about sums it up best, anyone who is able to go should go! It would be nice meeting some Fabo members there.

I'll probaly make it I just checked the calendar and I'm off :) but the street legal drags are the 16th at fontana hhmmm what to do. Route 66 also has a burnout contest

Great event!!! If you go and it's hot - usually is - find a shady spot under a tree overlooking the cruise area and just watch the cars go by.
Saw an older aluminum bodied motorhome there a couple of years ago that the owner stripped the paint and fully polished the entire exterior. Sorry, didn't get a pic.

I go at least one day each year. Would take the duster since its a whopping 5 miles north of my place, but my wonderfull transmission guy got me the wrong converter, so I'll be changing that out instead of cruising.
