Maybe a lot of us went south for the winter (HAH! Didn't get away from the snow this year, huh?

In WI we have Jefferson car show and swap meet. April and Sept each year. Iola in July. And Mopars in the Park in Farmington, MN. This is the largest mopar only show/swap in the midwest. Many FABO members gather there, same hotels and hang out together.
He's way south down by Fairfield, past Effingham.
Just the IL/WI line is like 5 hours from there.
I have lived in IL all my life so far. Why'd you leave Indiana? Everything seems cheaper there. Taxes, groceries, gas, everything.
I wish I could afford to leave this miserable state.
I was in Ohio this past weekend and gas was $2.7x damneer everywhere I was and I returned to $3.39 here ... Makes absolutely no sense we have to be so high

Well, we left because the Peabody coal mine was knocking on our door. At night with headlights on, it looked like dense fog because of the dust.
Also, although we had a property picked out, somebody beat us to it right before we had closing. I was working 7 days a week and after a month of living in a motel, the wife and I started expanding our search radius. We ended up with 20 mostly wooded acres with a pond and best of all, NO mortgage!
Some things are higher for sure, but some are a wash, besides, 2 of our 3 sons live on the property, and we split the property taxes 3 ways.
