Just wondering if any of you guys are usiing CAP tubular lower control arms Thanks

From what I've read, I wouldn't invest any money in CAP. Their welds are supposedly very weak. A member here had a set of their tubular Upper Control Arms break during an easy cruise home one night.

Another member here, Badart, will be making custom lower control arms, and I'm sure his prices will be as reasonable as they are for his other products. He's in the design phase now. Check the link below and let me know if you have any other questions.

I used the stock lower control arms with the Mancini reinforcement plates and it looks like they'll be up to the task. But I'm only running a small block for cruising and occasional track time.

I just actually ordered some from qa1 yesterday. They should be here soon ,so I'm gonna swap them in and see how everything is and let you know. From what I know qa1 suposedly made them better , but I guess we will see.

I have had mine for 2 years with no problems, but little use on the car, if I remember right it was upper arms they had a problem with not lowers correct thanks

I still run CAP lower control arms on my Challenger. Almost 30k miles on them now with no issues. I did run their UCA's as well, although I have swapped those out for Hotchkis UCA's now. Part of that was for piece of mind, the other was that they didn't clear my 17x9's.

The design of the CAP parts was not the problem, their welding and quality control was. So, if you have a set of their parts, inspect the welds, to do it right means stripping the powdercoating. If the welds are up to par, you shouldn't have any issues. If the welds look cold, toss 'em.

I would guess that QA1 buying them out will fix the quality control issues. However, I don't know how many parts Mancini carried in stock, so I imagine it might still be possible to get CAP fabricated parts.
