I hesitate to leave my car ANYWHERE even if it's locked up, so I know that feeling and it's one of the reasons I don't go to shows so far (except small ones). I'm fine if it's in sight, but other than that I don't like it.

My Brother needed to move a couple of vehicles from Black Canyon City to Buckeye last week and his idea was that I drive his truck from BCC to Buckeye and he would ride his Honda Interstate, and then we would ride back to BCC on his bike and pick up my car. HA, aint a chance in HELL I'm leaving my Dart in BCC unattended so I followed him on his bike to Buckeye and then drove him back to BCC and dropped him off at his truck.

Anyhow, I think it would be great to get together with other members in a more private setting.
 
If memory serves, tomorrow night is Mopar nite at the Pavilions . Anyone planning on being there??? I went last month, sat by myself and read a book, won't do that again
 
Yep, it's Mopar night.....We'll be there later this afternoon 3ish or so...

Too hot for me, have some work to do on the car anyways.

Will someone please take hold of the meeting for locals. Again, It can be at my house (give the neighbors a treat), or somewhere else. I rightly do not have a preference.

Point of information, I do not drink, so I would appreciate no alcohol what so ever, and my smoking friendly zone is the sidewalk or farther.
 
I see that the Good Guys southwest car show is November 14-16, at Westworld. Mopar night at the Pavilions is the 15th also. Bet they are both busy as hell
 
I guess no one is interested in a Locals get together. I offered my place as not to inconvenience anyone else.

That is ok, I never wanted to meet anyone else, anyways. :)

More likely to get jumped for no alcohol or smoking. :)

Is that a HOA thing, or personal? :D
 
I would rather not have any beer here, I am an alcoholic and I love beer. (I have been sober over 37 years). Smoking just stinks, literally and figuratively. You can smoke out by the street as you are showing off your classic

No HOA here. I owned a house with an HOA 30 some years ago. I hated it and it still stings.
 
And it comes around once again...MOPAR night is this Saturday at Pavillions :cheers:
Last time for 2014 (where did the year go?)

Been too busy lately to do anything but work-work :)banghead:) working on the Demon project and having a few days of fun in Las Vegas :farao: for my wifes birthday (damn, she's getting old!:violent1: I didnt say that!)
BUT...the good lord willin'... and the creek dont rise (possible rain predicted later this week:???:) should be hittin the show in the Aspen wagon :glasses7:
Anyone else thinking about it? Hmmmmmm?:D
I even dug a camp chair out of storage :burnout:

Do not know if you are referring to me. If you are,

I have gone to too many shows to sit there and not know anyone. Last time I went on Mopar nite I sat there, with 3 empty parking spots on each side of me, and read my book.

Then I went home. Unless I know someone or know of someone, who will be there I will read a book at home

I have company from out of state for the next week, so my life is basically on hold.

Easy solution...dont bring a book next time. Walk around, look at the other cars, strike up a conversation with the owner of a car you like...not much different than going to a show as a spectator...just better parking :D

I actually walked the pups @ 10:30 instead of 6am today. It was light out & I could see instead of walking in the darkness with a flashlight....

Sunday at GCC it is then. I'll bring my camera...have to expand the "seasonally inappropriate footwear" photo collection. :glasses7: :D

Heat pump frosted over the coils early thursday am. All the rain/humidity and nearly freezing temps got my *** out of bed at 3 am to deal with it.:banghead:

Really?? This is so much better than 100teens degrees in the summer. This is great weather

On a different subject: Last week I was driving north on Tatum and there was an accident just south of Thunderbird. I could see one of the cars and just caught a glimpse of a black or dark blue car. Something told me to get a good look at it. So I slowed down like all looky-lous. Lo and behold it was a 70 or 71 Duster I could not really stop to talk. I did notice a younger kid getting into it as I drove past.

Some people like the cold weather here, but I'm not 1 of THEM....brrrr. I prefer warm, warmer & HOT :sunny:

I hope both the driver & Duster will be ok :prayer:
