I'm not necessarily going for a full-blown restoration or correct restoration for that matter, but I have a 1968 Dart 270 4door.

This is the problem: The 4 door handles/arm rests are all different. The rear driver's side is green leather, narrow and plain. The rear passenger is green leather, narrow, and has an ash tray. The driver's side is black leather and narrow, and plain. The passenger side is grey leather, wide, and has an ash tray.

I'm thinking the ash tray ones are supposed to be in the back seat, since the front has a center ash tray. Ideally I don't necessarily need any ash trays, but the real problem is that they're all dfferent colors and styles. Also the bezels for them in the owner's manual looks like it has a surround portion, but all the handles have only a simple U shaped bracket with the chrome handle in front, and the arm rest on the back.

So, has anyone recovered these with a different material, or in leather/vinyl? If so, what was the outcome? I would also entertain buying a full set of 4 if someone had them. Black, or White.

I'm getting sick of all this green in my orange car...

I was scouring ebay but wasn't sure what they were really called and couldn't find them. Thanks. I saw a member had a set of whites in the FS section so I PMed him. It would be awesome if someone had another set of whites, but if not I guess $54.00 isn't that bad. It's close to what I'd spend on materials to redo it. Also a bonus question to the thread: If anyone knows what the stock steering wheel is made of (the outer ring) if it's rubber/plastic/bakelite? what? It's naturally green, and needs to go. Unfortunately I can't pay what everyone seems to ask for a stock wheel, and don't necessarily want a grant wheel or anything like that. I like the big yacht wheel.

if a 3 spoke it is the same for a few years and b-bodies used them also (67-70?). I would hit swap meets and craigslist - if avail. I got an uncracked black one for $40 locally. All I had to do was sand some marks out of it and polish it.

68 and up elbow pads should be easy to find ( easier than 67 at least ) and dyed to any color you want.
From your description I'm guessing you have some short bases made for the rear of 2 door cars. The correct bases should be easy to find too.
A post in parts wanted section should help.

I have a black wheel out of a 69 Swinger that you could have for $40 plus shipping. It has no cracks and the colour is good

I'd any of the plastic/rubber worn? Would my horn ring fit inside it just the sane? Also do you have the black horn button to match? Or white even.

I think the horn ring should fit inside, someone could chime in to confirm that. I have a horn button that's in good shape but it's different from what you need.

I have a set of rear bases if your interested, basic black and new in box. 35 bones shipped. PM me if you want them.
... on second thought, I think they are for a 2 door car as they don't have anything surrounding the door handle.
