Occasionally I like to search for places I haven't been. While in the US navy, my job was to maintain GCA RADAR (ground controlled approach) A couple or three places I was always glad I didn't get stationed is Adak, or Kodiak, Alaska, and "Gitmo" Cuba
So I found some "stuff" on Adak (now abandoned by the military and turned over to the natives up there) and found this webpage:
