Auto center console be used for a 4spd car?

So as I have mentioned in other posts I have a 1966 Valiant 2dr post. It is currently a 3 on the tree and I will be converting it to an a833OD on the floor. I also picked up a 1966 Barracuda that was someones hotrod many years ago as a parts car. The 'Cuda is not worth saving. It has a center console I would like to use if possible with my 4spd. I want to actually use several parts from the 'Cuda on my Valiant to make it a little different and unique. So is it possible to use the Automatic console on a 4spd or were there 2 different consoles all together? Thanks, Shrkthgrl

They are different. And more than just the top plate.

Do you have the 3 speed parts that was removed? I am working on a 66 with a column shifter. Need some parts.

Also need the bracket that holds the steering column tight under the dash.

In short, yes you can use the auto console base. The larger cutout didn't start until 1967, but even then I question the necessity of it. My old four speed '66 Barracuda (original console car) got a '66 auto base when I changed the interior color.
