Notice the holes are slotted as well for adjustment. Same with 2 front holes in brackets(veritcal) AND the console(horizontal) screws are much longer for front brackets. Dont snug everything down tight until you verify proper linkage operation.

Took the shifter out and found it cracked near the base.
I'm going to MIG weld the crack, but before I do, does it look like the shifter is bent to you? Or is that offset supposed to be in there?

Looks bent, gimme an hour or 2 and I'll get better pics, my console is out, so timing is perfect.
Definitely bent, heres pics of ours. Good thing is all that's hidden anyway. Bend it straight and tack if need be.

Look at one in his pic, its bent out at bottom slightly. Shouldnt be.

Wow! After looking at Alan’s picture my shifter is REALLY bent.
(probably why it cracked?)
Gonna have to heat it up (that’s some fairly thick metal) and try hammering it back into shape then weld the crack.
