I am in the process of replacing my 3-on-the-tree with an auto on the floor. I have the console for my 1970 Duster and I am looking at an auto shifter out of a 1968 Charger. I can't see the difference by the pictures I have but I don't want to buy something and have to try and re-sell it because I didn't do my homework. Can anyone help me with my homework? (Its been a long time since I have said that!)

I'm pretty sure that all the ones with the curved handle will interchange. I know there are different type knobs (chrome-woodgrain) . Maybe someone else here can back me up on this.

give me a look at the pictures ? I think they are all the same.

I think I'll go ahead and buy it and take my chances, but if you wanna take a gander first, it is ebay item #220208978141. (I trust you guys!) But it only has like 10 min left, so I'll wait a few minutes then jump right in!!

Do you think once I receive it I can fabricate some kind of adapter plate? I work in a machine shop which utilizes sheet steel, brake presses, pega punch presses and a laser cuttter. I personally run a cnc lathe, but have run and have access to cnc mills. I would have to rely on my buddies in sheet metal to do any bending and such. Anywho, I'm not looking for a blueprint or anything (one would be nice, though!) just advice of whether you all think this would be feasible.

Sure. We'll help you get it together. And you dont wanna get me started on the topic of cnc Programing Fanuc controls is my second love.
