I hope you find the correct part. A long time ago a owner/member here figured out how to replace that with more common hardware. I don't recall exactly what hardware was used. Button head bolt ( like "closet bolt", holds a toilet to the flange ) installed from inside out maybe? Or maybe he altered the tube to accept a 'U' nut and put a stud in it. Whatever went there had to be shallow, clearing the shaft inside. I do recall he took the column completely apart to do whatever he did. I assume his is still working fine today. Repairs don't have to be as simple to assemble and/or service as what the OEM engineers came up with. Only needs to function the same. Good luck

When I removed the retainer ring it fell apart. I have some others at my storage, I will check them when I get over there again
