I have a running 318 setting in my floor that runs and was thinking of dropping it in the 66 Polara while we rebuild the engine (383) in it.....question is will the 318 drop in without any major problems????

Yes it will drop right in.You will have to find another radiator,and driveshaft.Also you will have to modify the existing exhaust.

"Drop right in?" I'm not sure I'd call it that.
You need different engine brackets, exhaust, I believe the rad outlet might be on the opposite side, AND YOU NEED a different (I assume you have) Torqueflite
The driveshaft will depend on what transmission(s) are involved. You didn't say "whut" 318 this is? Poly? LA? Magnum?
