If you look closely, you can see the groove cut from the waist to the oil hole. We needed to do this due to my bushed lifter bores. Factory lifter bores MAY cause too much oil up top. I would just epoxy the groove for factory bores.......I think. The "blued" look is a reflection. Friggin cheap phone....
