Barracuda gas tank

I'm trying to replace the gas tank in a 65 Barracuda. I've removed everything
except the two screws that hold the filler tube seal. They appear to be under the carpet or some back panel.Does anybody know how to gain access to those screws or if you can pull a gas tank without removing the filler tube.

You can pull the tank without pulling the neck. Raise the car and sit the axle down on jack stands instead of the frame on stands. That way the spring is closer to the frame allowing enough room to pull the tank under it.
