I'm redoing my grills on my 67 Barracuda. Anybody else ever sanded the clear anodizing off the aluminum trim. It's taking forever, but I like the final result.

looks good. There are a few of us who will agree it's worth the effort.
Search should find threads with info about others efforts, replacing broken studs,etc...
 
That's lookin' nice.........

I usually remove anodizing with oven cleaner.....works great.....after it's dry, steel wool (000) finishes it up.........kinda messy, but it does a good job.

BUT, it won't help the little dings and deeper scratches......for that, wet sanding or fine dry sanding is the only way to get 'em smooth again.

Looks like you're gettin' it done. 8)
