Hi guys and gals im looking to buy a battery charger /maintainer mostly for when car is in storage for the winter. Theres so many out there I was wondering what you are using and how its held up. Names like Battery Tender, C-Teck , Schumacher , theres so many any thoughts would be greatly appreciated thanks

I have had a couple of 12V Battery Tender chargers for years and they work very well. I also have a NAPA charger/maintainer that has served well for several years. I have been through four Harbor Freight units and I'm now crossing my fingers that the fifth one will hold up for a few months to keep my Dad's old tractor battery charged up. I also have a 6 volt battery tender for my 53 Chevy pickup and a battery tender Jr for my four wheeler. In summary, I recommend the Deltran Battery Tenders

I have a schumacher 2A/1A slow charger/maintainer that seems to work fine. Dad had it on the lexus when he quit driving it. I had a HF one on the Barracuda for years and it kept the battery charged (it was the weird semi-permanent lug style one with the male socket on it for an extension cord) My go-to one is an old Sears 10/2A with a manual/deep cycle/automatic mode switch on it but no super Amp start circuit that some have on them.

I have used a battery tender Jr for years and it still works fine.

I have a BatteryMINDer. It works well, has settings for flooded lead acid, AGM, and gel. The desulphation has brought a few batteries back to like new, after prolonged abuse on a solar powered electric fence.

I've had one like this in near continuous use over 10 years.
