i need some input on the best distributor for a mild 340 sixpack. looking at
mopar performance, msd ready to run, and msd e-curve. thanks

Msd e-curve hands down! The thing has a built in rev limiter and everything. Just make sure you use 8.5mm wires or bigger (do they make bigger?) and some good spark plugs. I have msd wires and boush plat 4 plugs. Also you dont need to use a box with this dizzy (I do though).

I've always liked the Mopar Performance stuff for mild to moderate street cars. An all out MSD is nice but sorta overkill.

Stock distributor is all you'll need along with a quick advance spring or 2 change at max. The vacuum advance may very well be adjustable, stick it with the allen wrench and find out if it'll slide into to it. You can adjust the vacuum advance to your taste.

Mallory Unilite. Hooks up to the stock wiring. everything is inside the distributor, no external box, no wiring to deal with.

E-curve. As said... couple wires, no external box, dials to adjust your timing curve, rev limiter, and it will last forever.
