Just picked up a new account, and its big. 750,000 square feet big. Googled best footwear for concrete and saw Mizuno wave come up time and time again. Workboots are not required for this warehouse, and I'm a running shoe guy. Ordered a pair of Wave 20 Mizuno's Sunday and got them Tuesday. The reviews are not exaggerated. These things are phenomenal. Although we have access to trikes and motorized scooters, there is a lot of walking and no more foot pain. No more Fila, New Balance for me. $120 aint cheap, but worth every penny. What do you guys who are on your feet all day on hard surfaces using?

I was looking at those recently, good to know they live up the hype.

I'm on my feet most of the day and have had good luck with Salomon.

If you are a running shoe guy, Altras, and never look back

I'm on my feet all day working in a hospital and I wear Redwing boots with the better inserts and my feet are good, course it's already time for new inserts been past 6 months but, I love the boots, but they sell shoes too, their own warranty you can call it on leather they will fix the minor dings or have it sent out, break a lace, tell them what shoe and they give you a free set, free polish on the leather just have to take them in. I went with their Irish setters boots

I have a feeling the right footwear is overlooked by many people with aching feet and knees at the end of the day. Never bought Altras, might have to check them out.

They say with a running shoe you should actually have two pairs and alternate wearing them. This way they have a chance to bounce back and provide the proper cushion for ya before you wear them again.

I agree. Good footwear is overlooked by many. Too many just opt for the cheapest on the shelf. Can get away with that when you are younger but as ya age that catches up with you.

I wear Mizuno's and love them, Tried them on at a sporting store and they fit my foot great. I bought them to start working out and running.. haha boy did I fool my self, now just my everyday shoe

I have done the two sets of shoes and alternating them, and I always use to buy running shoes for that same reason, light weight and softer then normal shoes but for me personally the boots I wear feel ten times better and with the proper inserts and are to the curve of your foot, they are not tired at the end of the day or ache like they did with the running shoes. Just my personal experience as a nurse.

Boots(Redwing) here as well. They are like wearing slippers. No way a floppy tennis shoe can provide the same support as a lace up boot. When I wear tennis shoes as opposed to boots I can feel the concrete sucking the life out of my feet, and I feel like I'm walking around barefoot. My pain level is 2 fold. Rather spend $350 for a good boot, and get several years out it, and I can walk over anything without feeling it in my foot. Big difference at the end of the day.

I rotate 4 pairs.

I got a pair of Red Wing ESD steel toes through work. Guy at store measured my feet to be sure I got the correct size. I think that is the most important part; having shoes/boots properly fitted. But these Red Wing loafers are the best thing for my feet!!!

That's what I call them. They are definitely not boots. Low cut shoes that almost look like dress shoes. I mean you could wear them on a night out and no one would know they were Red Wings unless you told them.

I have never heard of Mizuno shoes. Do they offer choices on width? I wear New Balance shoes because they're the only ones that offer choices on width, I have big feet and wear a 15 4E shoe.

If you have wide feet, Altras.
Altras all day long.
Trust me

Redwing work boots. Expensive at about $180 for what I get, comfortable but the soles wear out too fast and they get $70 to resole them now. great service comes with them. I took them in every other month for an free oil and lace change. I bought some cheap *** Dickies because we had a boot inspection and my wings were worn slick and I ended up wearing them for a while. I could barely walk in the morning due to my arches falling in those cripplers.
