Best hydraulic flat tappet lifter?

Melling does not make lifters
I do know that Isky, Crower, Tony Mamo and others use a different supplier than the others

Take a look around the website
See that they have 3 versions of each lifter
I remember when Isky ran out of his custom VW hyd lifters one of the tappet vendors wanted a 50,000 min order
BTW if you do put a oil flat on the lifters do not try and measure the depth- measuring the width is easier
I have not seen the Howard lifter I wonder if a hole on a hyd face would affect bleed down I'd use if it works better than a flat but a flat is better than no flat
 
I am confused. I didn't see anyone say Melling made lifters.
 
o answer to the thread title--Melling hyd lifters have been good to me. Other brands seem to let me down with collapsing, noise or just shitty performance. J.Rob
 
Yes Melling sells reboxed lifters- but whose lifters exactly
you can tell by careful looking
Johnson/ Sealed power catalog has pictures
