Best torsion bars for Daily Driver/Road Racer

Alright, awesome! Thanks. I have one more question; the main reason I'm getting new bars is because my old drivers side bar is sagging to the point that the adjuster bar is rubbing the frame. So the whole purpose of getting new bars is to creat a larger distance between the frame and the adjuster. Will the clocking on the PST bars still allow them to effectively do this?

Absolutely, yes.
Mine were rubbing on the frame also, and the new bars got the adjuster completely away from the frame.
Actually about half way between the adjuster block and the frame now.
I needed to pull one back out to clearance a header tube on the passenger side and I only had to back the adjuster off about 3 turns to take all the pressure off of it.

Glad you figured it out in a way that satisfies your driving needs.
For a car that will see daily driving and a few trips to the track
over a year, I feel you made very good choice on T bar size.
Sounds like your building a well rounded suspension that will handle
decent on the street, straight track, and twisties.

If you're worried about getting the nose up, you're not building an autoX/road course car.

From my take on his question, he's trying to build an all-purpose car on a budget,
that can be used to get to work and the store, but still handle well if he were
to take it to any type track.
I'd bet he's gonna be more happy with a car that does a lot of things well as apposed
to one thing well.

This thread was a good read I am building my cousin's '72 Satellite/Roadrunner street rod thing with a 440 and since it originally had a slant 6 the T-bars definitely need upgrading. I think I'll also go with the PST 1.03" bars I have the 1" Just Suspension bars in my '70 Duster and I agree with what has been said about them being a bit softer than I would have liked. The Roadrunner will be an all-around car like my Duster currently is, I will have to try the thicker bars on my own car though once I get the suspension sorted out for road racing.

About the feel of having the thicker than stock bars... you can drive 100+ MPH and the car feels planted to the road instead of getting ready for takeoff lol
