Big Block 727 leaks at rear transmission mount

I have noticed that the rear transmission mount is wet, the s car sits a lot, I was just wondering if there is something I missed during install.

There is a paper gasket under the little plate held on with two Phillips head screws.

As mentioned there is a plate to access the bearing snapping hidden above the mount... Those can leak.. But far more common is the rear band anchor pin... Which is just forward of the rear mount...

Mine is wet on one side, it might be that paper gasket

The plate in question is the cover for the clip on the rear support bearing. Many times these are a cork gasket and tend to loosen over time. You will need to remove the mount to get to the screws.
On that rear band pivot I always silicon over them and they wont leak. Even with a new o-ring they tend to leak.

I can't remember ever using silicone on that shaft. I keep a tiny well worn piece of #120 to clear up the bore.
