Can this plug on the back of a big block oil pump be replaced with a recessed plug? Are they NPT threads?
No. I'm just contemplating removing the front motorplate in my 66 Dart and making up a set of solid mounts instead. It shouldn't be a problem, but figured I'd ask since I've never taken apart a big block oil pump before. That plug is awfully close to where the mount will be.is it hitting the frame?
If you fab your mounts with factory mounts there is plenty of clearance. If you need any mounts let me know. I've got stuff kind of hidden away right now, but can always find a set. We'll be back up that way on Feb. 6.
Yes, the only spares I have are biscuit mounts. I'll look around this weekend. Also still debating about going to the swap meet in Stockton next Sunday.
This is our rh mount pad.
We’ve had 15 bblock abodies in our little town, they generally way 3100 something The headers tell you where it will sit in the bonnet& trans mount but my focus was pinion angle

I pulled out a pair of mounts today before the rain hit. I'm on the fence on the swap meet, but we're heading to Grass Valley on the 6th for my granddaughter's birthday.
Yeah, I'll get some pics. I'll let you know what our schedule is. How's $40 for the pair?
Thanks Jim. I think using one of those on the driver's side would make things easier for me. Since the driver's side engine block lugs are directly above the flat mounting surface, I'll probably need to use something else for the passenger side - like a -62-65 b-body style. Got any of those by chance?
Jim’s mounts are 66-72 B,C and E body. The pass mount is a bolt in deal on the 67-72 A bodies with a V8 K member. You use the A body biscuit mount. The drivers side is the fun one. Kim
Then u may have to drill different holes or maybe even turn the biscuit sideways. Kim
