Just wanting some suggestions on best brand/ strength available for a supercharged small block. We have a new 340 replacement block, super comando heads, 3.3 whipple intercooled. Most likely use a chev journal on the B/E so rod choice isnt an issue and only chasing a stroke 3.5 - 3.7 area so piston choice/ comp height/ pin height isnt an issue. Will machine crank for extra keyways as we are looking at 20 psi plus - decent horsepower. Do I go for a callies or what else is available?

As long as its forged you should be alright. Eagle, Scat and K1 all make great Forged cranks. Avoid the cast cranks. I have and Eagle crank both for what youre doing I'd go for the K1.

Callies is the best choice for this setup. they come with the SBC rod pin. The others would have to be cut down, plus you would have to narrow the big end on any chevy rod to fit the journal width. The Callies has done all the work for you.

Rough cost of Callies cranks
Dragon Slayer is $1100
Magnum is $1900
Magnum XL is $2500

Im using a K1 3.79 stroke with chevy rod journals. Im also using K1 6.125 rods with chevy small end. This let me use an off the shelf Diamond -30cc dish piston for a 383 chevy engine. Diamond charged 4 bucks to relocate the valve reliefs. This will be in a 360 with final displacement being 387ci and topped off with an 871 blower.

I did not have to modify the rods to fit.
