blower motor won't run

Had my heater recored, old was leaking. Been several years since the heater was used,now I have no blower. Turned it on the first time after reinstalling it and had low speed only. pulled the wires off to check them put them back on and now no fan at all. Have no reason to believe it shouldn't work. You can see the single wire from the blower and the double one from the switch. I tried several ways of testing them but get nothing.

Make sure the motor is grounded. Locate the wiring going to the motor and apply 12V directly as with a clip lead, etc.
