bm shift adjustment

i have 727 going in my 67 cuda manual reverse vavle body what the best way to adjust cable in direction i got said adjust it from low gear i thought park any help thanks bm quick silver shifter

Really, best with two people, so the guy underneath can pull and install the link in/ out and make sure the lever is in the detent. Also make sure the neutral safety properly and reliably actuates in park/ neutral.

I currently have a ProStick, but after seeing the MUCH longer trans lever of the Cheetah, I don't care for how BM set that up with so short a lever. That is, a very small amount of "off" or play in the shifter/ cable, will make a large change at the trans.

Usually you adjust it from Park all the way back or all the way forward on the trans lever

Basically as said above...I use a starting point of neutral....trans in neutral, shifter in neutral ...shift into 1st...check swivel...2nd check swivel..3rd check swivel...
