Wow that's an old one RedFish :glasses7:
I seen these crazy guy open for Bad Company in Lakeland Fla about 1975, I thought there clothing was weird to say the least Bad company was on the running with the pack tour. ol Jim and one of his guitar players from his first band stopped by and played till 3 am at my old home place  Creed was about 12 and they could not believe how great creed was on the guitar
What a great night on the drums and enjoying some ol farts at the ol shop..

Thanks for the memories, guys.
I grew up in the '70s, it was pretty funky then with the clothes, Disco, etc.
But the thing that i loved about the '70s was the cars....especially Mopars which were cheap and plentiful. How many of you can remember 340 Swingers, Dusters, Challengers etc. on the used car lots for sale and taking them for test drives?
I did that a lot. Good times!
The music was great too, i didn't like disco much though....lol
A lot of people say i'm stuck in the '70s, but it works for me.
Heck, most of the cars i like and own are from the '60s and 70s!

They reely wuz sum 70's?????.......I alwayz wunder'd wher tha early 70's went, I rekk'on I juss kan't remember them????.......I wuz 18 in 1970, Had my shag carpet'd 66 dodge van an tried my bess ta live up ta tha national moto.."Make luv not war"....I know I had a blast ther fer several yeerz...Juss whis da hell I could remember!!!!

Bought a 1969 Roadrunner in near perfect factory condition for $1,200 off a car lot in town.
383 mag with a 727 and mickey thompsons all the way around.
Bout a year later I traded my stereo and speakers for a police 440 magnum motor and dropped that in and things got fun.
Pink Floyd's Welcome to the machine album came out when I was an MP on a training base for new recruits so I went out and bought a portable stereo just because of that album.
Spent a lot of years hiking around the Sierra Nevada mountains looking for good trout fishing creeks (and finding them) so I am into music now more than I was back then.
Rode my DT360 yamaha dirt bike the 13 miles back and forth to school on logging truck roads.
Yep, those were the days.

of course this isn't all in correct chronological order, Just memories.

Most fun I ever had. High as a sob dancing in the crowd with any lady who,d dance at the Champagne Jam concert in Orlando 1977. Met a lot of fine babes and will never forget. Large time with friends who are mostly gone today.[ame="http://youtu.be/ZHimj-crMrA"]302 Found[/ame]

WOW Mike. I was hitting concerts in Lakeland in 75. Saw Bad co Kiss and Robin Trower around 75 or 6. We stomped the same ground.

Remember these guys? I lost a bunch of stuff in the house fire but all my GI Joes made it out alive.

I had one of THOSE TOO! it was great.
Had to come back after this made me start thinking about it.
I have collected eggs, milked the cows and hand churned the cream into butter on the front porch with my Grandmother.
Used a crank type phone to call my uncles house (Only place the wire went)
Set off dynamite instead of firecrackers with my friends (you could actually get away with that back then)
Remember gas for my minibike was 23 cents a gallon.
The Viet Nam war was downer and I just missed getting involved in that.
Space flight was cool
What the hell is a "Cellphone"? or a calculator?
Damn, things have changed.

Music wise, there is not much new stuff after 76 or so that I really cared for, particularly as the decade went on. The 80s on - forget it...
The last concert I went to back in the 70s was around 77' to see Genesis but they played mosty the older stuff so it was still pretty good. Early last year my youngest daughter got tickets for the Eric Clapton stop in Raleigh, NC for us. One of my all time favorite performers. WHO should open the show but Roger Daughtry (no punn intended). It was a great show - but also soooo different than the concerts of the late 60s early 70s......

Anyone remember this ???

I had the SSP and the Evil Knievel stunt deal too. I also had the GI Joe with some big tatical RV thing, lol. There was also some little hot wheels looking car that would charge from what looked like gas pump and give it enough juice to blast across a wood floor. I never had one, but always wanted one.

Oh, yeah- whining like hell when 280 Sunoco hit 33.9 a gallon; destroying Sparkomatic speakers with BTO; cruising town with open headers (Had to be quick with the clutch foot when the gendarmes were around!); discovering Lynyrd Skynyrd & AC/DC; thinking sex was safe and race cars were dangerous- man oh man what times they were! Thanks for starting this thread-just lost an hour of study time!

Thought I would bring this thread back to life for our new members and for us old farts here to bring back some old memories :D I enjoyed it again this morning

It's kind of sad memike to go over this thread and see some of the posters on it, I believe godfather has passed on, and ramcharger never comes here anymore!

The 70's were GREAT though!
