I just want to let my fellow racers and Mopar owners know that Braille presently has a deal on their i35X lithium battery. 599 instead of 899! 10 pounds! It would of course require a lithium specific charger which is an additional 150 bucks. I don't like the ah rating of the battery but I've decided I will use my 31 T5 (55 #s) to run the fans and waterpump after my run in the pit. 45 pounds is a great weight reduction. My lead acid 31 series is 5 years old now and "seems" fine but I know Im on borrowed time. I charge it every time I come back from the track but Im just concerned about its age. Winch 24DCM is also 5 now. I figure I'll lug the 31 series battery to the track and using some type of quick connect setup up front by the relays, feed the w/p and fans. The i35X has big cranking amps and will put out until 99% discharged. Multiple charge times available and 3 to 5 times the life of a lead acid battery.
It was time to get a battery and a 10 pound Braille sounds awesome. Hopefully it will work as well as I expect. Time will tell!
