I would love to do that! I wish you were closer. Thanks! My offer still stands. Free dyno session for the 440. We can run the Wallace calculator when we are done and enter that as my guess on your et.

If I'm the only one who interpreted it that way then I apologize for misunderstanding you.
No need to apologize, we're goodObviously, you aren't the only one either. Here is a bad analogy, but It's like if a person says "I don't use valvoline"... people will say "he hates valvoline." Which he didn't say that, he just may prefer GTX.
Like I said, bad analogyNot even the same Tim.
I only play an engine builder on tv. I did stay at a motel 6 once. You are not the only one. The guys who run a dyno or guts like TT5.9 who have been doing dyno testing for years and decades and know what the dyno is and what it can and can’t do all understood it just like you.
Ive been open with a bunch of info on my D100 and the engine that is in it. It’s all in my thread and/or on FABO somewhere. I think it ran very close to what it should for the hp measured both on the chassis dyno and on the engine dyno. It’s one of a few vehicles here that now has data from all three sources. Track, chassis, and engine dyno, not many do. And Wallace isn’t too far off.Like I said, bad analogy LOL. In the meantime, I still wait for somebody to give me a Dyno engine where the mile per hour at the track matched the HP. I haven’t seen it all and I don’t know at all so just because I ask doesn’t mean it didn’t happen cause I’m sure it has. Just waiting.

I'll buy one if you put in small print " I say this because I don't know what a dyno is really for" directly below " I don't race dyno sheets" Lol
He’s a half tracker so 1/8 mile500 hp? at 3500#'s it better be pushing at least 115 and closer to 120mph in the 1/4@ 3500#'s.
what's the weight
If you mean Joe’s, 3665 at the start line. 87 mph in the 1/8th. 4.10 gears, 9.5 PTC, slickswhat's the weight
he's 5- 10 mph off.3665 at the start line. 87 mph in the 1/8th. 4.10 gears, 9.5 PTC, slicks
I said in a truck to have the 500 horses the Dyno showed he’ll need to run about 94 mile an hour. And this, my friend, is where I say Dyno horses don’t usually show up at the track. Somehow, from this, I’m an anti-dyno person lolhe's 5- 10 mph off.
He might have a problem with the convertor, if it is indeed 500 hp.I said in a truck to have the 500 horses the Dyno showed he’ll need to run about 94 mile an hour. And this, my friend, is where I say Dyno horses don’t usually show up at the track. Somehow, from this, I’m an anti-dyno person lol

Atmospheric variables and chassis tuning hamper the ET/MPH on any given day.I said in a truck to have the 500 horses the Dyno showed he’ll need to run about 94 mile an hour. I'm going with a loose convertor, I've heard the weather excuse enough. lolAtmospheric variables and chassis tuning hamper the ET/MPH on any given day.
So then, doesn’t that make the numbers null and void? I mean, for any Dyno. If we know as soon as we unhook it from the dyno it’s dropping 80 hp, then??? Again, I have many examples of where the horsepower does not show up on the track. I’m still waiting for my first example of where one car runs the mile per hour to prove the horsepower that the dyno showed. Even Joe’s example of his friend with a very nice Mopar and fast Mopar. When looking at the mile per hour he was not running the 1141 or whatever it was that the dyno showed he was like 35 hp down or somethingAtmospheric variables and chassis tuning hamper the ET/MPH on any given day.
I agree with NBT as well in that the dyno headers, fuel system and optimum ignition are most likely back at the shop.
And will the loose converter help the mile per hour or just lower the ET?I'm going with a loose convertor, I've heard the weather excuse enough. lol
