Brainstormin' 440 vs 5.9 ...

I don't mind the truth. Just don't be an asshole tellin it.

That’s the only way I know. And I haven’t been an asshole. In fact I’ve been pretty fricking nice when I shouldn’t be.

I say this in truth, and not in an asshole way.

If I showed up at a track and Joe was there, or Tim I would just go my own way. Not because they are nice guys (they are far nicer than I am no doubt) but I don’t hang around cars that I can’t learn from.

That’s the truth. Not because I’m arrogant or snotty. Im neither. I don’t hang around cars like that because I don’t want to hear a bunch of 12 and 13 second guys bench racing.

If I wanted to hear that, I’d unretire and go back to work in a shop where I get paid to deal with them.

I’d much rather hang out in the Comp pits or with the blown alcohol guys or at least with the fast bracket guys.

It is what it is.

I already said it. You have no clue what you are talking about and you think it makes you look smart.

If the engine is 500 hp capable, and it is capable of it.

What’s not capable of it is the truck it’s in and the guy picking the parts and tuning on it.

It’s also on Joe that he didn’t test with the headers he is going to use, and his ignition and whatever water temp was used on the dyno.

When it came off the dyno it was 500 hp. Once Joe took it the power went down.

Thats not the dyno’s fault.
It’s Joe… It’s the truck… It’s the ignition… How many other ways are you going to say what I’ve been saying. The 500 hp on the Dino didn’t show up at the race track. Pete and Pete were in a boat. Pete fell in and who was left?

Yup. The question is WHY didnt it show up? Because the dyno lied? Or because Joe is lost?

Yes you have. You can't stop. "I'm right, I'm right, I'm right" is all you know. And guess what? You're not right. Not in this thread. But you will never understand that.

I don't mind the truth.
No, he is just melting because he can’t handle the truth. I told the truth. I flat out said that engine most likely really did make 500 hp on the Dino. And I flat out said that 500 hp did not show up at the track. I don’t care what the reason was it didn’t show up. I am not blaming the Dino. I’m saying it didn’t show up. And you know what? I see this a lot with Dino engines that go to the track. He’s twisted sideways because he’s invested or investing into a Dino and this isn’t good for what he’s doing I guess. He was the last person I had in mind when I made the video. The very last.

And the last person I expected to come in and TRAIN WRECK your thread over something you really didn't wan in it and still don't.

I twisted nothing. Get over it.

Get over it? LOL!I told you five pages back to just drop it and we’ll move on with the RV 440 but you can’t help yourself. That’s on you and you’ll have to deal with you. LOL! I make no apologies for my video, and for what I’ve said on this thread. I have not backtracked or backed down, and I won’t. You, or anyone else, won’t tell me what I see, what I observed, and what to think. However, I do think it’s funny literally.

No. Like I said, you'll never get what I'm talking about. ...and I don't have to deal with it. I have an ignore list. Goodbye.

Yup. And you’re on my list.

You got out of your lane like Tim and now you are butthurt.

Grow up.

In fact, neither of you should say anything about dyno testing. Neither of you has any experience.

And it shows.

I apologize for participating in the arguing on your thread. I'll limit my comments for here on out.

I’m out.

I can’t deal with simple minded people.

Yup. And you’re on my list.

You got out of your lane like Tim and now you are butthurt.

Grow up.

:lol:How can you not laugh at this. Just five minutes…

It’s all good! Like I said, this is now a winter pass time thread. I’ll start another with a more fitting title. I’m not upset with anyone. I have laughed a lot today, though, and that’s the truth. Right out loud in my living room.

When have you ever seen an engine make a pass at the track under the exact conditions under which it was dyno'd?

Plus you're using a calculator to compare a dyno number to. Think about it... A calculator??

I love calculators… and why not take this the other way? How about a car actually runs faster with the calculator than what the Dino said? How come the track is always a worse condition than the Dino?

I love calculators…
Me too!!

I always use the calculator for quick math to see my cars efficiency. I always take my mile per hour and divide either the 1320 or the 660 by my mile per hour for a quick snapshot of if my car is being efficient or not.

The track is always the best dyno and calculator.
It determines the winner. At the end of the day, regardless of the horsepower showing on a Dino, the guy with the quicker ET would win the race. Also, the track will show the weaknesses and strength of the entire build.

I’ve attached a photo that replicates my budget.

If I had the 2500~3000 I’d give a Dyno session a shot on a max effort build, but that’s not my lane.

Well no. The better ET does not always win.

I use the mile per hour for an estimate horsepower, and I used the calculator to divide my mile per hour by the feet I’m racing, usually 1320, to measure how the car is working and it’s efficiency. My truck cut a 1.78 60 foot time which is better than most 12.90 vehicles. And that’s at 3800 pounds at the line using a cheap off the shelf torque converter
