In reality, people missed the entire point of all of this. My video was simply put out to let people know all the 440 Dino videos they sent me were irrelevant to my truck and 440. I made that clear in the video. I made that clear in the beginning of why I was making the video. I also stated I did not have any issues or problems with dinos. They are great tools. My point in saying Dino numbers don’t race was purely directed at the Dino videos sent to me about other people’s 440s was completely irrelevant, and I used Joe’s truck to show for an example why what shows at the dino doesn’t always show up at the track. I standby what I said. Usually Wallace shows a lower horsepower than a Dino. That doesn’t make dinos wrong. It’s just a matter of fact.
I did take the time and couldn't find it anywhere. It depends on which data you use mph or et. If you use mph you get a lower number than if you use et. What does that say about the calculator if you get two different numbers? Which one is right? If only mph is right then why have a calculation by et? Here is what Wallace say's about there calculator "These equations are for recreation only. Not a substitute for actual testing." The truck is a bad example with out a dyno number. In the other two examples one was low on mph and in the ballpark on et. The other example was in the ballpark on mph and above on et.
ET can be much more all over than MPH. For instance, my Duster with the open rear end could break the one tire loose. I could let off, let it bite, then mash it again and the ET might be a half second off but the MPH would be about identical. That's why i like MPH. Also, a car like a stock eliminator will shoot like a rocket out of the hole, but their MPH will usually be a little slow for the ET (at least in most cases I've seen). It's why I like ET. But I'll be honest, I'm already bored of this topic as it pertains to nothing I am doing with my cars. It was just a message to those sending me dyno videos LOL
I'm guessing those who were sending dyno videos were trying to help you. It seems your goal is to optimize what you have right now and then from there try to improve your et. There should be a lot to good information in those videos on ways that have already been tested and proved to either increase or in some cases decrease the performance of your combination. Can't really fault them for trying to help.
Absolutely! And I thanked them in my video. I appreciate their interest, comments, and every view on all my videos. I have the best viewers on youtube. Some of the most honest car people, and just good people in general are on my channel. Many are God fearing and just enjoy the hobby like I do. I wouldnt trade my viewers for any on youtube.
I’d like to see what that engine would show on the dyno it’s current state as it’s ran in the truck. Same ignition, same headers, ran at same temperature, timing, carburetor, etc… just to see what it’s outputting in its current state.
Either way it's not down a 125 hp in its current state from what it pulled on the dyno. It's not a radical enough build to lose that much power from headers, temp, timing, etc.
My bet its powering through the convertor.
I can do that. I have offered to dyno it for free. I've been told thanks but no thanks it's too far to drive here.

Well, you can't fit dyno headers in the vehicle, right?
What I do know is 700 dyno hp propels 3000 #'s 145 mph in the 1/4.
I remember the guy that owned a parts store (friend of mine) built a cast iron head (906) 440. Tunnel ram with 2 750 DP's. Went 9.20's at 150 mph. Had the MP distributor.
Or you can’t fit the chassis headers to the dyno.
Either way.
I had to modify my dyno so my headers would fit. They were barely hitting on the passenger side. So I moved the two down frame rails in.
The second engine on the dyno was a Pontiac.
No way those headers would have fit. They would have hit harder than my headers.
So it was worth the effort. As of now I’ve yet to find a header that didn’t fit on my dyno.
But it may be down closer to 425 hp with the "lesser ported" Stealth cylinder heads and the milder camshaft installed, especially in the hot Alabama atmosphere and the resultant coolant temperatures. But having the converter re-flashed tighter and adding a little gear probably wouldn't hurt anything, either! Well, except for maybe traction... But if you look at what the "lunch break" truck was built for and where it finishes, it meets the goal pretty nicely so far.

I find it funny that people are doing all this bickering is over an engine dyno result and 1/4mi pass that didn't even have the same engine combo. Different heads and cam??? I'm sure that had nothing to do with it.

I was drawn in by how this thread has sixty two pages.In less than two months...

It could be another episode of seinfeld...
I have both. Wintertime the wheel dyno is shut down.
