can i use some of the hardware from a 7 1/4 rear in an 8 3/4 rear 10" drum ? like brake springs, adjusters,wheel cyl. anything?? i know just go buy new right?? But things are alittle tight and i have 2 just sitting and also a 8 3/4 out of a 70 R/R with 11' drums ..Thanks for any help...

IF the 7-1/4 has 10" brakes, the same as an A body 8-3/4, then yes, you can use all the hardware and brake shoes.
Don't worry about feeling funny for asking, we all have had times where funds were tight and had to scrimp by.

LOL, I'm doing it now. AND I'll probably be doing it till the kid gets out of school, some 15 years from now. LOL
